Insulated Metal Wall Plank
Green is Easy
The United Sates Green Building Council's (USGBC) Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED ® ) rating system is a set of performance standards for certifying the design and construction of commercial or institutional buildings and high-rise environmentally sound practices in building design and construction.
One of the topics LEED addresses is Materials & Resources (MR):
MR Credit 4: Recycled Content
Approximately 89% (by weight) our insulated panels consists of the exterior and interior metal faces. The metal faces and trim flashings are fabricated from coil and flat sheet that are produced using the Basic Oxygen Furnace (BOF) process. The pre-consumer recycled content averages 6% and the post-consumer recycled content averages 22%.
Approximately 11% (by weight) of our insulated panels consists of the insulating foam core. The total pre-consumer and post-consumer recycled content averages 25%.
Recycled content diverted from the waste stream during the manufacturing process.
Recycled content generated by households or by commercial, industrial and institutional facilities in their role as end-users of the product, which can no longer be used for its intended purpose.
MR Credit 5: Regional Materials
Our manufacturing plant is strategically located in the heart of the country, just south of Indianapolis in Hope, IN. Most job sites are typically located within 500 miles of our facility
